Lonely Cloud
I wandered lonely as a cloud,
That floats on high o'er vales and hills.

Oilseed Rape
The rural landscape in the United Kingdom is now a patchwork quilt of yellow fields of oilseed rape, the fourth most widely grown crop in the United Kingdom.
98% of oilseed rape is grown for the production of food grade oil, while the pulp is used in animal feed.
The oil is commonly used for margarines and vegetable oils and derivatives are used throughout the range of cosmetic and detergent products.

Aviation viewing park, Manchester Airport
Today I paid a return visit to the excellent aviation viewing park at Manchester Airport, the UK's third busiest airport.
My favourite shot was of Cathay Pacific Cargo Boeing 747-2L5B(SF) taking off.

Castlerigg Stone Circle near Keswick
Castlerigg stone circle near Keswick is thought to be one of the earliest circles in Britain and it dates from around 3000 BC.
The early morning mist gives the mountains a monochromatic look whilst the side light on the stones brought out the shape and colour.

2005 Election Poster Campaigns
The Main political parties are splashing out millions of pounds on advertising in the run-up to a General Election here in the United Kingdom on May 5th.
The outdoor posters are designed to influence the voting habits of the country's key 838,000 floating voters in 165 marginal seats.
So far I have only found one Labour poster but there are plenty of Conservative and Liberal Democrats posters around the North East of England.

Police Crime Scene
Sometimes having the idea is just note enough. I have wanted to take these pictures for years but could not find a supplier of the tape who would sell it to me.
Well all that changed last week and a parcel arrived at 07:55am this morning.
So as the sun was shining, I set out to take some pictures first thing, much to the amusement of the neighbours.

Spring Colour
After three days chained to the desk doing boring paperwork and admin I have just escaped for a few minutes to walk around the village.
It’s a typical April day - Sunshine, showers and signs of Spring everywhere you look.
Meanwhile the weather forecasters are talking about a brief return to Winter with snow forecast for Friday!

There is a time for everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
A time to be born and a time to die,
A time to plant and a time to uproot,
Ecclesiastes 3v1:2
